General Amenities and Information
Camp Lewis Lake, a waterfront property on Lewis Lake, is made up of a lodge called Anne Fraser House and three tent sites (Mayflower, Lady Slipper, Snowy Owls’ Nest).
DIRECTIONS TO CAMP
- From Halifax, travel towards Windsor on Highway 101; take Exit #3 (Mount Uniacke and Upper Sackville). Turn right at both stop signs. Now heading towards Upper Sackville on Highway #1 – which turns into Sackville Dr., the Camp entrance is on the left approximately 2-½ kms from the corner.
- If traveling on Sackville Dr. from Lower Sackville, the Camp entrance is on the right just passed Lewis Lake. It is approximately 10 kms. from the lights at the corner of Beaverbank Rd. and the Sackville Dr.
- Please note there is limited parking at each site, but a main parking lot is available.
Sites
Anne Fraser House (overnight capacity: 30)
Guiding Day Rates: $15 booking fee + $5/person rental fee*
Guiding Overnight Rates: $15 booking fee + rental fee $150/night up to 20 campers + $8/person/night over 20 campers + $3/person for Day visitors*
- Building is winterized and has electric heat and a woodstove. Ensure you bring fire starters, kindling, and matches.
- The Alarm System is hard wired but and not Monitored – so if the alarm system activates you need to call 911
- The smoke detectors are hard wired and battery operated
- Building is wheelchair accessible.
- 2-stall washroom; no showers
- 24-bunk main bunk room – no mattresses
- 4-bunk leaders bunk room – no mattresses
- Additional sleeping capacity exists in the following areas based on usable space at current configuration and allowing for safe exit. Sleeping capacity formula: length x width / 49.
- Main Room 12’ x 25’ / 49 = 6
- Kitchen 5’ x 12’ / 49 = 1
KITCHEN
- Hot and cold-water year round
- 1 electric stove
- 1 freezer, 1 refrigerator
- Assorted dishware, cookware, and utensils available. If you need specialized tools please ensure you bring them from home.
- Hand Washing Sink must have soap & paper towel at all times
FIRST AID ROOM
- 1 bed
- Locking cabinet
- Bring your own First Aid Kit
COMMON ROOM
- Woodstove
- Several tables & wooden benches
- Small area for activities - bring your own chairs

Mayflower Tent Site
Guiding Day Rates: $10 booking fee + $3/person rental fee*
Guiding Overnight Rates: $10 booking fee + rental fee $3/person/night + $3/person for day visitors
- Tenting is restricted to designated tenting areas (groups must bring their own tents).
- Year-round outdoor latrines, seasonal comfort station, seasonal outdoor water taps
- Firepit (bring your own wood)
- Site equipment/supplies – You are responsible for all your own equipment/supplies.
- Groups must take home garbage and recycling
- Picnic tables and covered shelter
- Please plan to be self-sufficient in terms of power for cell phones, etc.
- Groups are required to come self-contained

Lady Slipper Tent Site

- Tenting is restricted to designated tenting areas (groups must bring their own tents)
- Year-round outdoor latrines, seasonal comfort station, seasonal outdoor water taps.
- Bunk beds available in Adirondack site hut (no mattresses)
- Groups must take home garbage and recycling
- Picnic tables and covered shelter
- Site hut does not have electricity
- Groups are required to come self-contained

Payments and cancellations
Payment Process
Payments are transferred directly from the booking group's GGC Nationwide Banking Account on the Due Date(s) listed in the confirmation email. The booking fee is due immediately upon booking. The rental fee is due 7 days after the site use date. Please ensure your account has sufficient funds.
Cancellations must be made 21 days prior to camp. If not, a $100 Cancelation Fee will be charged in addition to the Booking Fee.
