From May 22–24, 2026, youth ages 16–19 from across Canada will gather in Toronto for Career Compass – an exciting weekend to build career confidence, explore post-secondary pathways and connect with a powerful Girl Guide network of youth and mentors. Whether you're thinking about university, college, starting a career or still figuring it out – Career Compass is for you.

Where is Career Compass taking place?

Career Compass will be held at York University in Toronto. You’ll spend a weekend immersed in a vibrant campus environment, connecting with Girl Guides from across Canada. It’s your chance to dream big, explore possibilities and take charge of your future – all while experiencing campus life firsthand.

Who can apply to attend Career Compass?

Any members ages 16-19 can apply – whether you’re in Rangers, Trex, Link or a bridging member.

What does this event cost?

There is a $450 registration fee which covers:

  • Two nights in an on-campus residence (Friday and Saturday)
  • Meals on Saturday and Sunday
  • Snacks all weekend
  • All conference sessions
  • A fun gala evening

Travel to and from Toronto is not included and will cost extra, depending on where you're coming from.

Subsidies are available in every province! They will help cover your registration fee, travel costs, or both, based on where you live. Subsidy amounts and details vary by council, so please reach out to CareerCompass@girlguides.ca for the most updated information.

You’re also encouraged to fundraise to help cover costs – please follow GGC’s fundraising guidelines, which will be shared with all participants.
