In Partnership with St. John Ambulance, Girl Guides of Canada – Guides du Canada, NS Council
is pleased to offer the following First Aid Programs free of charge just for being a member:
All programs must be booked through the Provincial Office
Please review the booking procedures for the requirements to host or attend a session,
prior to requesting a course .
First Aid Program
“Booking Procedures ”
Emergency First Aid -1 day or Standard First Aid Level C – 2 day
(recertification not available)
-Yellow level activities require Emergency level
- Red level activities require the Standard Level
*Please Note- Standard First Aid is preferred - this course includes Childrens CPR
Additional courses available:
(Lifesaver Challenge, CPR courses & Enhanced Standard First Aid)
Wilderness Programs are not included
All First Aid Programs run by St. John Ambulance include
lecture, resource materials and hands on training from instructors.
We Can Help Program
“Booking Procedures ”
This program is geared toward the younger members of Girl Guides
and is to be taught by a Guider with First Aid Training.
The “We Can Help Program” includes participants activity book for each girl
along with a leader resource book that is used to present the program.
